Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many of my students are not able to purchase their school supplies. I have taught for 19 years and each year I purchase school supplies for my students. This year I have decided to ask for help in purchasing these supplies. Please help me!
I teach in a Title 1 school, which means most of the students at my school are economically disavantaged.
We have such wonderful students and I want to do what I can to help make their learning the best it can be without my students having to worrty about not having their school supplies.
My Project
These supplies will help my students in reading, writing and math. My students use the composition books as their journals, to take notes and to problem solve. The composition books last much longer than spiral notebooks. For this reason, I prefer the composition books. The composition books are very helpful for students to refer back to previous learning when needing to review for assessments.
I will use the laminator to laminate student work to display the hard work my students do each day. I will also use the laminator to lamitate important learning objectives, which will help solidify learning goals and refer back to for review.
As I mentioned earlier, prior to school starting, I spend a lot of my own money to purchase school supplies to help my students be successful during the school year.
I would like help this year in preparing for my students to start school. Please help me share this load of purchasing some school supplies for my students and helping me laminate their beautiful work throughout the school year.
