My Students

My class of around 30 consists of roughly half English Language learners and almost entirely students from low income families. As a first year teacher, I am striving to create an environment that is welcoming and a place where students have access to all necessary resources. Each child comes to school with a desire to learn, and it is my responsibility to foster that passion even further.

My hope with this project is to fill the classroom with necessary resources for each student to succeed.

My Project

These resources will be used individually by each student to promote learning. The math manipulative will help build on math concepts, while the pencil boxes will create a sense of individualization in the classroom. The multicultural paper will be used during the first week of school to create a ripped paper portrait to help me know how the student wants to be identified.

These resources will be used daily in the classroom and will make a huge difference in these children's' education.

I plan to introduce the resources and explain the expectations for keeping them looking nice.
