My students need these math supplies to become super mathematicians this upcoming school year. We need markers, geometric shapes and more.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is the best fifth grade class in the whole world?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.

I teach at a Title 1 School, in one of the worst neighborhoods in Chicago, where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend, and our school also runs a food pantry for our families. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day

My Project

We have so much white board space in our room, the markers will be put to great practice in math. The children will love those erasers; they just are so cute. The sketcher markers will be used for making posters for students to use in small group instruction. The 3D shapes will be used to count vertices, walls, and edges. As well as properly name the shapes. The foam balls will be used during recess for students to practice throwing and measuring how far they have thrown. All these supplies will be used to make students fall in love with math, as much as I do.
