Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With these calculators, my 6th-grade students will be able to compute and solve more rigorous math problems. My goal is that all students will use the calculators to meet 6th- and 7th-grade math standards incorporated within our accelerated math curriculum.
Many of my students are students with disabilities who need computational supports. With access to these calculators, students can focus less on computational recall and more on the problem-solving process.
Additionally, pencils, facial tissues, and paper towels are everyday materials that are needed in the classroom environment.
