My students need basic school supplies such as colored pencils, glue sticks, highlighters, tape and scissors to start the year with. The printer will also effectively reduce time for printing class sets of worksheets and assessments.

My Students
The United States has been called, "The Land of Opportunity." Most citizens can describe the traditional "American Dream" as the right and ability to carve out any life you choose. Unfortunately, for children, not all opportunities are equal.
The good teacher makes the poor students good and the good student superior.
My students come from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and vastly varied socioeconomic lifestyles. Each child comes with their own life experiences, strengths, and weaknesses. They all want to feel safe and successful, and every one of them brings the need and desire to be loved.
My students are curious, humorous, and zealous. They enjoy learning with their eyes, ears, and hands. As a classroom family, students work together, learn from each other, and strive for personal goals of personal best.
My Project
"Please take out your crayons or colored pencils." That may be a simple request, but imagine being the student who doesn't have those basic supplies. It's the first day of school, and you're already embarrassed and behind.
It seems as though "back to school" has become a season of stress rather than excitement.
New clothes, hair cuts, and basic school supplies are rarely easily gained. As supply lists become longer, many parents (and their children) wonder how they will provide the most basic needs for their little learners.
My hope is to lighten the load for my students and their families this year. My students need basic school supplies such as colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, tape and scissors to begin the 2016 - 2017 year. With access to a printer in my room, I will save time that can be given back to the students. Your contribution will help each child begin ahead rather than with that sinking feeling of already being behind and unprepared for the first day of school. Thank you for your consideration.
