My Students

I teach in a structured teaching unit for children with Autism. These kids are amazingly creative and diverse, and need a variety of instructional materials to be successful. Communication can be a challenge, so opportunities to explore new was to communicate are vital to their success. Some of my students are non verbal, but have so much they want to share with the world. Learning to express themselves through alternate means is critical for their success in school and life.

My Project

I need the supplies listed to create instructional materials that are specifically for the needs of my students. They need more hands on modified materials that can help with their specific learning style. The lamination will allow for materials to be used multiple times, and the velcro helps make the learning more tangible. The wireless mouse will allow students to use the smart board from any location in the classroom. The boxes will be used to set up structured work tasks for students to gain independence. Overall, these materials will help me give my students more hands on learning opportunities.
