My Project

My 9th grade history classes center units teaching about Racial Justice & Representation and my students need supplies like folders, tape, and pencils to help them successfully engage in our units.

At this stage of their education, students begin to move beyond memorizing dates and names and they learn to analyze primary and secondary sources, understand cause and effect, identify bias and perspective and make evidence-based arguments.

History provides the context for understanding current events. When students learn about past conflicts, social movements, or political systems, they gain insight into how societies evolve; why certain issues persist; how individuals and groups can create change. My students will use these supplies to write about different topics.
