And kindergarten is the foundation of most students educations. Why not equip them young with tools to help them get their education in gear??
Kindergarten in the best place in the world.
It is a magical time where kids learn everything about their environment. My students are high-poverty, low income students from a very culturally diverse population. They are inspired by the world around them, but often times do not get exposure to much more than our rural town. We are a Title One school, but we work hard to excel. All teachers work hard to provide the best individualized education for all students. Our kindergarten class is made up of students who are eager to learn about everything.
My Project
Structure, routine, and organization are key factors in a successful kindergarten classroom. The chair buddy bags would help my students take responsibility for the organization for their materials. It would also maximize time spent learning. The students would have to look no farther than the back of their chairs for all of the supplies they may need throughout the day. It would all be right at their fingertips. The students would also be accountable for their items and hopefully these bags would increase children's desire to take care of their belongings.
Chair pockets will increase students' time on task.
The pockets will provide the students with a sense of ownership and responsibility for taking care of their items. The pockets will organize the classroom and limit lost items because everything will be in one location, right behind the student on their chair!
