This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students want to be responsible for their own things, but our classroom lacks storage for different things. Headphones for each student are hard to store neatly in the classroom. I would like them to have availability to the headphones at their desk, also helping them take responsibility for their materials.
Students WANT to be responsible for their materials and messes!
They love to clean up and take care of our space. Having a manual sweeper in our classroom will allow them to grab it and clean up after they spill their pencil shavings. This will also help out our overworked and underpaid custodians who can only vacuum a couple nights per week. We are a community of people who help each other!
