Help me give my students access to ALL the materials they need to be successful in their general education classrooms! In multiple classes, we use spiral notebooks and composition books to take notes and create interactive journals.
I am a Special Education teacher. All of my students are taking classes in the general education setting. They will see me at least one time a day either for a Specialized Academic class (we focus on reteaching concepts, introducing new ones or students will learn skills for LIFE) or for Push in support in the general education classroom.
Being an RSP teacher is like being a Jack of all trades, I have to be a Math teacher, English teacher, a Social Studies teacher, and a Science because I am a Special education teacher.
I love my students, I love seeing them grow and develop as human beings. They need a lot of support to help them accomplish their goals of one day going to college and becoming well-rounded members of this world. Help me, help them!
My Project
It can be difficult to ask for help, especially for a student who struggles with keeping up in six classes a day, activities after school, homework assignments, and Life!
I support my students' unique learning needs by making sure they have access to all the things they need to be successful in the classroom like; spiral notebooks, composition books, erasable pens, pencils, art supplies, erasers, binders, and folders!
This year we have already supplied students with 475 mechanical pencils and refills, 75 erasable pens, 50 erasers (big ones!), 50 spiral notebooks, 45 composition books, 20 binders, 27 dividers, and 72 folders!
We get very few supplies through PTA funding and our school needs to supply us with curriculum and instructional materials! I pay for most of these items on my own knowing that they will support my students, but I am asking for support. Please help me, help them!
