Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The MPA Matador Athletics Department is in motion and doing BIG things! This school year we have seen great progress in the 10 athletics programs we support including district finishers in Cross Country and Girls Soccer! We are so proud of our students and coaches and are in need of some equipment to ensure we continue moving towards success:

Pinnies, Stopwatches, Softball and Baseball equipment, Ball Pumps and Coaching Boards will give our students and coaches tools they need to strategize and develop necessary skills for each sport.

* Pinnies for Soccer and Basketball Scrimmages - These teams support 150 student-athletes in the winter season. Pinnies will help to identify players during practice scrimmages.

* Stopwatches for Cross Country and Track - These programs support 30+ runners in the fall and spring seasons. Stopwatches will help runners monitor and track their progress.

* Softball and Baseball Equipment - These programs support 30+ student-athletes in the fall and spring seasons. Additional training equipment will help develop batting skills.

* Ball Pumps - Our Athletics Department supports 200+ Title I student-athletes in 10 different programs that often overlap. New ball pumps will help make sure we are able to maintain equipment we already have for practices and games.

* Dry Erase Coaching Boards - Our staff of 20+ coaches strategize in and outside of practices and games. New boards will help them visualize plans and make adjustments quickly so that students are able to achieve success at practices and games.

Through participation in multiple sports during the school year, our students develop skills to stay active, build confidence, and represent MPA with PRIDE - Passion, Respect, Intelligence, Determination and Excellence. Help us keep our Matadors in Motion.
