This year I have some wonderfully creative students. These are kids who spent a great deal of learning time at home during a crucial developmental time in their lives. Like all kids, they benefit so much from exploring art and expressing themselves creatively. Art plays a huge role in child development, and it's a priority for my students. These paints and the paper will help them to create wonderful works of art, as well as promote their communication skills through sharing their work and exploring their peers' work. We also study some painters, such as Georgia O'Keefe, then try our hand at their type of art. Giant watercolor flowers really brighten up a room, and these supplies will allow the students to do these types of projects. Additionally, a classroom art walk is a powerful learning experience for youngsters, and these paints and papers will allow that to happen.
