Help me give my students excellent quality drawing books to help them improve their drawing skills and become passionate about drawing. The variety of books selected will appeal to a wide range of students and abilities.
Our high school students are excited to learn new drawing techniques to improve their artistic level. We display work our local library and in display cases at the high school. Student work is often submitted to competitions, often leading to awards.
Regardless of our student's economical situation, drawing is for everyone.
Students love to see their classmate's work and admire their talent. It gives them something positive to talk about and leads to a lot of compliments. With encouragement, our students work at home and over the summer on artwork.
My Project
The books will conjure new project ideas. They will help create assignments as well as extra credit assignments. The books chosen have step by step instructions that appeal to many students. One of the books about hypo realism is associated with a YouTube drawing star. His videos could be played and then students can try to master his techniques. Students can choose from a variety of books that match their skill level and challenge them with new techniques. Sometimes a student has a vision of what they are trying to accomplish, and am not able to imagine their vision. Having a quality, new book selection will help them better describe visually what they envision. The books selected will serve students for many years to come. The books may also help elevate the quality of our art program.
