My Project

The Building Fact Fluency Toolkit for Multiplication and Division will significantly impact my students' learning by providing engaging, hands-on strategies to develop a deep understanding of math facts. Rather than relying solely on rote memorization, this toolkit uses meaningful contexts, visual models, and interactive activities to help students build number sense and fluency. By exploring mathematical relationships and patterns, students will gain confidence in their ability to solve problems efficiently and accurately. This resource ensures that all learners, including those who struggle with math anxiety or gaps in foundational skills, have access to engaging and research-based strategies that make math more accessible and enjoyable.

This project aims to help my students develop a strong foundation in multiplication and division, setting them up for success in more advanced math concepts.

In later grades, fact fluency is essential for tackling multi-step problems, fractions, and algebraic reasoning. My students are unique because they bring creativity, perseverance, and excitement to learning, even when faced with challenges. Many of them learn best through exploration and hands-on activities, and this toolkit will provide the structured yet flexible support they need to thrive. By making math engaging and approachable, this project will empower my students to see themselves as capable and confident mathematicians.
