My Project

This project will provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for my English Learner (EL) students by engaging them in the process of planting, observing, and caring for a variety of plants. Through this initiative, students will enhance their scientific inquiry skills while also developing language proficiency in a collaborative and engaging environment. I am requesting Mini Garden Hand Transplanting Succulent Tools Sets, Easy to Grow Houseplants, Heavy Duty Steel Wire Rack Storage Shelving Organizer, and other tools needed to engage in hands-on learning, allowing them to observe growth and develop responsibility.

Students will:

-Plant and Replant – Grow plants from seeds and transplant houseplants and succulents.

-Observe and Analyze – Track plant growth over time, comparing different species and conditions.

-Share Responsibilities – Work as a team to water, repot, and maintain the plants.

-Conduct Research – Learn about plant care needs and apply their knowledge.

-Maintain a Growth Journal – Document plant development, care routines, and observations.

By integrating science, responsibility, and teamwork, this project will support language development and critical thinking skills. Students will gain confidence in their communication abilities as they engage in discussions, research, and written reflections related to plant care.
