This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help my students get their basic needs met so that they can learn. If their bellies are full and they feel taken care of, they are more likely to learn and grow in my classroom.
Some students don't have access to certain things at home and I would have for that to hinder their learning journey.
I also have growing fifth graders who hit a growth spurt at the end of this year so I would like to be prepared to feed those grumbling, growing tummies so that their brains can stay focused on the learning.
