Help me give my students masks to keep them safe and water bottles to keep them hydrated!

My Students
Each day, second graders depend on me to teach them how to read, write, and develop critical thinking skills that will be the foundation of their education. These students come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Their families qualify for free lunch and often do not have the means to provide quality literature, basic school supplies, and other educational tools at home. So, I feel it is my role to provide them with rich learning experiences on a day-to-day basis.
Due to their backgrounds and limitations in resources at home, my students often enter elementary school significantly behind their more affluent peers but all of them are eager to learn.
My Project
My students have been thrilled to return to school in person! They are enthusiastically working hard in the last few weeks of the school year after being virtual for over a year! However, they are facing new challenges such as having comfortable masks to wear and water readily available throughout the day.
This project would provide students with comfortable, washable, cotton masks that can be worn all day and water bottles that will allow them to stay hydrated with water fountains closed.
While they have hardly complained about these new, dramatic changes to their school life, making their day a little easier would mean they can focus more on what is most important - learning!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
