Help me give my students the safety from viruses. We are required to wear masks and many students wear the same mask everyday or they break. We go through them very quickly.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Middle School...do you remember the days you spent in Middle School? Hormones raging, trying to figure out who you were, knowing that you knew more than your parents and definitely more than any teacher who stood in front of you! Now, fast forward to the Middle School kids of today. It's the same but add the added pressure of social media, any information at your finger tips with your phone and both parents working, if they are lucky enough to have both parents in the home. Add to all of this, a unique way of learning. Maybe they need something repeated ten times. Maybe they need things shown to them or maybe they just can't sit still to save their life. It could be visual or auditory processing, maybe a bit of autism, bi-polar or a combo of them all.
Each student is unique.
They desire to be outside and part of a group. When put into a situation outside of the all-to-often school scene of sit in a desk with pencil and paper work, these students blossom. They are able to shine and show you who they really are.
My Project
When this project funds, students will be able to have new clean masks and soap to wash their hands. These 2 things are the most effective things in battling viruses. Some of the masks we are left with on campus are too small and not comfortable for our kids. With your help, they will have access to clean masks and soap for cleanliness. While yes, we have soap the dispensers are often empty. Many students are wearing the same mask all week and are reusing the disposable ones. Thanks you!
