This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students on our campus come to school every day eager to learn, explore, and create new experiences. I want our students to feel safe in our school, classrooms and to enjoy every minute of their school day!

My students are fantastic and curious bilingual learners.

Most of our students' families fall below the poverty line for where we live. Ninety-seven percent of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Our students are dedicated and accountable for their own learning. Our students are 5 and 6-year-olds who need stimulating and enthralling academic exposures to help solidify the content they are learning.

Our school has a large ELL population and high needs for differentiation and authentic learning experiences. Our school is a wonderful community of bilingual teachers and parents that truly care about one another and work together to deliver and provide the best service to each and every one of our students.

My Project

My students often forget their masks or lose them. I would like to have extra masks on hand to be able to give to the students as needed. Often, students do have a mask but it is the same disposable mask they have been wearing for weeks and these can be dirty. Being able to supply a student with a clean mask versus sending them to the office not only saves time, but is healthier for them. During the day, some students tend to be hungry. Having extra snacks in the classrooms will help my students focus more on learning. Thank you so much for your contribution.
