Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the privilege of teaching some of the strongest and most resilient little boys and girls I have ever met. They deal with so many challenges in their short lives, but every morning they meet me with a smile and a high five and a desire to learn that is truly inspiring.
Coming from many different cultural backgrounds, my ESL students bring a wealth of experiences and diversity to our school to make it a special place.
My Project
Our students are required to wear masks to school.
Sometimes our students:
-forget their mask at home
-drop their mask on the playground, etc
-chew through the mask
- parents may not be able to afford replacing a lost or broken mask
-only have access to laundry services once a week.
These masks will help us keep our students and staff safe. Your donation will help provide our students with a proper fitting child size mask. Mask wearing in our school building will help to stop the spread and hopefully keep the students in the school building and not having to return to remote learning.
