Help me give my students the tools that they need to become engaged in their learning, providing them with the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning activities. My students need thermometers, globes, and maps.

My Students
Science is a favorite among many of the students that I teach. My goal is to create an environment in which students are actively engaged through hands on learning, observations, questioning, and discussion. Students should be active participants not just observers of science.
When students are actively engaged in their learning, they become learners of science, thinking, questioning, and forming new ideas.
They are more focused on the content and making connections to what they already know and what they are learning. This is a time for them to discover their own questions and change any misconceptions sharing their knowledge in meaningful ways.
My Project
Students need to be active participants in their learning. By providing my students with opportunities to observe, ask questions, investigate different phenomenon, create models, and share their knowledge in meaningful ways the students will become actively engaged in the learning process.
Being able to create models that simulate different aspects of the curriculum, such as moon phases and the seasons, the students will gain a deeper understanding of the sun-moon-earth system.
Many of the concepts we study throughout the year are abstract and hard for the students to visualize. These science materials will help the students gain a better understanding of the concepts, make connections, and give them the chance to create working models.
