Marvelous Mathematicians

My Students

My students are amazing scientists, readers, engineers, mathematicians, writers, tech gurus, makers, and artists.

They dream big and work together on projects, experiments, and stories.

I have boys and girls who will be future accountants, firefighters, nurses, teachers, police officers, and hairstylists. Their bright eyes, creative minds, and activity levels challenge me to be a better educator.

A house is not a home without a family to share it with. Our school is our home away from home. My students are my family. We work together, play together, and grow together.

My Project

In our classroom, active engagement is key! With the use of math manipulatives for students to play, move, and create, the abstract concepts can be reinforced in a more effective way.

We will be using all of these games and manipulatives during our daily math instruction.

Students work in small groups during part of our math instructional time. With some kids playing the games, other students can be with me as I reinforce or enrich the lesson concepts.

Using these math tools further helps the kids to understand geometry, computation, operations, and numeration. These are things we go over and over throughout the year so my students can become marvelous mathematicians.
