My students need counters, magnetic white boards, magnetic numbers, and more hands-on materials to deepen their understanding of math concepts with fun activities!
In kindergarten, students are building a mathematical foundation that they will carry with them throughout their life. It is my hope that by providing my students with a variety of materials and manipulatives, they will develop a mathematical fluency that will support their learning as they grow.
I have great students who are eager to learn, but we just do not have the resources in our classroom.
I have a small supply of math materials and manipulatives, but at five years old, children become bored quickly. To keep learning fun and exciting, I need to be able to supply students with a wider variety of activities. The more excited they are about math, the better mathematicians they become!
My Project
The hope is that my kindergarten students will have access to a variety of math materials and manipulatives early in the school year. Having this variety will allow my students to have a lot of choices, and to be able to have some control over their learning.
Having these materials will have a huge impact on my little mathematicians!
If my students have access to multiple activities and materials, I know they will excel in math. I want my students to have confidence in math and become MARVELOUS MATHEMATICIANS!
