Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach fifth graders that belong to different backgrounds and ethnicities in San Jose, California. My students are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and inquiring learners who love to come to school each day. They are remarkably inspired to learn and do their best in school.

I teach at an exceptional, diverse, and distinctive school in California where more than 71% of students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My students speak many different languages like Spanish, Vietnamese, Greek, Tagalog or Dutch at home. We always celebrate the things that make us different, and the things that make us the same. This wonderful class is a family at school.

My Project

I usually prepare a set of different supplies that are in class since day number one. I really enjoy that my students are happy to see that everything is ready to work just at the moment we begin interacting. I have most of the supplies, but I am missing some special tools to personalize my student’s learning.

I am asking for different types of markers, such as sharpies and expo colorful markers, and a variety of pencil erasers.

Fifth Grade curriculum requires a lot of interaction with writing purposes.

Notebooks are ready on the desk but different choices of markers, and pink and top erasers will be indispensable to create a perfect learning environment. Writing needs different components but the essentials are included in my project. I would like to offer my new students a sense of readiness for another great school year.

Help me begin a wonderful school year by donating these supplies for my classroom. I will make sure they work diligently and efficiently with these supplies. I strongly believe that the first three weeks of school are essential for every kid. I need your help to keep the routine of providing supplies to my students. I want them to know that I am ready and great people like you are helping me to teach them well another year.
