This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember going through boxes of markers in school? We use a variety of markers all day and are running low.

I teach a group of 24 hard working first graders.

My students love to learn and therefore we use up our supplies very quickly. I teach at a magnet school that focuses on students with high abilities. Part of my job is providing students with many learning opportunities in different modalities.

My Project

As is true in many classrooms, I use the white board a lot! It is important for students to visualize what I am teaching so I try to illustrate many lessons and tie what I'm saying with what I'm writing. In writing, I usually have students trace their final drafts in marker when they will display it for others to read. This is also true for their art pieces. I am requesting a variety of markers (white board, permanent, felt) to allow students to use them on many classroom projects and lessons. I also added board cleaners to keep our white board in good condition,
