This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the year, my students have learned to enjoy guided math and stations. Some were a little hesitant about math at the beginning of the year, but most of them have now learned to love it.

A big part of that is because they can use dry-erase markers when doing most of their daily work, and it's easy for them to fix mistakes and keep track of their work on our big student whiteboards.

They love being able to use them for mostly everything we do in class. And they enjoy working with each other during stations, where they can ask questions and get help from their peers when needed.

Since we use them so much, we're constantly running out. We just ran out now, and I have kids asking me for a marker constantly. It's frustrating not being able to just hand them a marker when they need it.

This new stash of markers should last us a long time, and it will make my students very happy knowing we won't have to struggle for new markers the rest of the year.
