My students need dry erase markers, boards, erasers, and cleaner to create, practice, and solve math problems! Using grid boards and colorful markers, they can design graphs, geometric figures, area models, and more!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students possess positive attitudes and are eager to learn. I teach kindergarten through 5th grade special education students, all of whom have unique strengths and abilities, as well as diagnosed learning differences. Our’s is a Title I school, where all students receive free breakfast and lunch each day. I am blessed and proud to begin my 22nd year at this campus serving as its special education math teacher.
Watching my students learn new skills and beam with pride inspires me daily!
I work with my students individually and in small groups to help them learn and grow toward mastery of grade-level math skills. I tailor my instruction to meet my students' individual needs and hold high expectations for them, which they strive to exceed! Together we face big challenges, which lead to great rewards! My students bring me such joy!
My Project
Dry erase markers, erasers, individual student grid boards and white boards will be used for daily computation practice, working through problem-solving strategies and methods, and drawing visual representations of mathematical concepts. In addition, dry erase materials can be used to provide a quick and easy student response system in my class.
Using white boards will raise my students' participation and engagement levels, give me instant feedback, and make learning more fun!
My students enjoy using colorful markers, rather than doing pencil and paper activities, and they love how dry erase boards allow their mistakes to be swept away!
Your donations will be greatly appreciated! Most of the families on our campus struggle to pay for school supplies required for the general education classroom; therefore, I provide countless materials and supplies for my special education students to use in my resource classroom.
