Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We will be learning about the Day of the Dead in the coming weeks. I teach my students about this holiday and how it is celebrated around the world. We read books, build an ofrenda, and create art pieces using a variety of markers.

The Sharpies will be used for tracing art pieces.

The pencils will be used for sketching, and the lead will refill mechanical pencils that are used for writing. To keep the markers easily accessible and organized, I am asking for magnetic cups that can be stuck to our board. Lastly, the flower crowns will be used to decorate our board and will be a reference as they draw and make their own ofrendas.
