This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students range from Pre-K to fifth grade. We are a low income, elementary school. Our kids are active and love learning. We are trying to motivate our kids to find a passion in learning and to be excited to come to school. Art can be a great way to motivate kids to do better and learn new things. With new art supplies I can help them in all areas, like math and reading. They are so appreciative of everything they receive and would really love your support.

My Project

The students have not had an art class in a while and these basic items are necessary when trying to run an art room. The crayons, markers, and other basic supplies are needed to help foster creativity and allow our students to grow in basic art forms. Without the basic supplies we will not be able to do even the smallest of projects and these students deserve the chance to experience all that art has to offer. My students have been through a lot this year living in Houston, I am hoping I can bring a smile to there face for at least 50 minutes of their day.
