This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students I serve attend a K-5 grade school in an urban area of Kansas City, Missouri. We are a Title I school and 100% of our students are provided free breakfast and lunch daily.
Their situations do not define them; their motivation, drive and passion for learning is what shapes them every single day.
I am proud to call them my students. I hope you can partner with me to bring better learning tools into their classroom.
My Project
This request is for personal white boards, markers and erasers to give students a unique way to show their work. They are always so excited to be able to 'show what they know' in a different kind of way!
I would love to use them for math "game shows," grammar quizzes, during small group instruction, and for peer-to-peer teaching!
We will use these mainly during grammar and math time, but I will be able to incorporate them in many other subject areas throughout the year! I know when I was younger, using the white boards was one of my favorite things todo!
