Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students at the age of 5 are learning how to develop their oral communicative skills. My classroom implements the SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language) approach to ensure that our students are acquiring both everyday and academic vocabulary. We develop thematic units that cater to needs of our students in order to achieve learning in a fun and developmentally appropriate way.

These material will fund my Oceans Unit and give my students the opportunity learn how to be marine biologists.

We will use the materials in our dramatic play to learn academic language such as habitat, coral reef, mall, predator and prey. Through dramatic play and other activities, my students will acquire knowledge about the needs for survival of ocean animals and the impact of pollution in our oceans.
