This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their heart. They show up early, stay late, and give their all to bring the beauty of mariachi music to life. These middle schoolers are not only learning how to play instruments and sing in harmony — they’re learning how to represent their culture with pride and confidence.
Our mariachi ensemble is frequently asked to perform at school, district, and community events.
However, because they are young musicians still developing their projection and volume, their voices and instruments often get lost — especially during outdoor performances. That’s where the Bose S1 Pro+ Portable Wireless PA System comes in.
This compact and high-quality sound system would allow their voices and instruments to be heard clearly, helping the audience truly experience the magic these students work so hard to create. It will also allow us to be more self-sufficient, mobile, and professional in our setup — an essential step in building real-world performance skills.
My goal is for these students to feel empowered, seen, and heard — literally and figuratively. Having the right equipment will build their confidence and open more doors for them to perform and grow.
My students are special because they’re not just learning music — they’re keeping a tradition alive. They are ambassadors of culture, discipline, and joy. With your support, their voices can reach farther and inspire even more people.
