My Students
My students are a very talented group of students who love academics as well as their extracurricular activities. The students work very hard to achieve and maintain their grades while having a very successful sports life. The students participate in multiple extracurricular activities throughout the year. The students in our school participate in year-round band, football, basketball, and baseball.
The majority of the students come from low-income homes and must walk through unsafe neighborhoods to get to school.
This does not stop our students from coming to school with a smile on their faces ready to learn in a safe environment.
My Project
These materials will help with our marching band instruction. Students will be taught in the show style way of marching and performance. Students will be able to practice with their own instruments strapped to them to get use to the weight of their drums and have the correct sticks and mallets to play accurate and precise.
Students will be able to have their own set of mallets, sticks, and slings to themselves that they will not have to share during this time of the covid-19 virus.
Our students are eager and ready to begin this journey.
