Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I work in a Title I school where my students don't have access to supplies or books at home. I want to provide them as much comfort and familiarity at this time that I can.

My students are bright and inquisitive.

In March, we will learn about mindfulness. We will practice breathing and calming techniques. My students will use the coloring and scratch books as another form of mindfulness. This will give them a tool to help regulate their emotions and work on their big feelings. This is a skill that is vital for school success.
