Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a phenomenal and motivated group of fourth-grade scholars. There are some with IEPs (Individual Education Plans), students new to our country who are learning English for the first time, scholars with various learning styles, readers/mathematicians at various grade levels. Regardless of this, they all work extremely hard every day and love our paper-circuit engineering and cardboard/card stock construction projects. They love making geometrical models, Makey Makey STEM Kit coding integrated with art, just to name a few of the maker ed and computer science projects we'll be working on this year. The resources requested in this project will help us create such STEM/STEAM projects focusing on Women's History Month and science!
My scholars will benefit in various ways: they will use the National Geographic/Happy Atom kits to work on several science projects such as geology and chemistry; they will create 3D models with the clay; they will also use the Chibitronics LED circuit stickers and card stock to create artistic posters or dioramas that light up.
Thank you for stopping by and taking an interest in our little village. My scholars thank you in advance. !Muchas gracias for helping my class celebrate trailblazing women with many awesome resources!
