My Students

I am a passionate preschool teacher. I teach a diverse group students ages 4 and 5. Many of these students come from low-income families who face many different challenges on a daily basis. My goal is to provide a high quality education to prepare them for Kindergarten. To do this, I need a variety of materials to enhance their learning and give them experiences they would otherwise not receive.

My student’s are curious, creative and demonstrate a desire to learn through play.

While they are at school, my students receive a free breakfast, lunch and snack to help meet their basic needs so they are able to learn. It is my job to give them a variety of learning experiences so they can explore, grow and learn. Many materials used in my classroom are not available to them at home. I want to encourage my students to learn while having fun. I want to set them up for a successful life and love of learning.

My Project

I have a math night for my families to learn about different math skills and how to apply those skills at home. I would love to have example of games they can play at home. One great way to encourage attendance and interaction is having these games available to win through a raffle.

Having educational games to play at home is a common goal my families share.

I have chosen specific educational games that align with my students’ interests that would be perfect for this event. They also encourage families to play together.
