My Project

I teach in an urban 2nd grade classroom. My students are enthusiastic learners who are also creative and curious. My classroom includes students who are English Learners and those who have special needs. More than half of my students are socioeconomically disadvantaged.

We want to participate in March Book Madness with other children in schools around the country!

These titles are the books that are being used in the national 2025 March Book Madness. These are a wide variety of books featuring award winning books and books with representation.

We want to read the books and have them battle each other head to head until we reach a winner. We will submit our winning title to the competition and will get to see which book wins!
