Marbles in the Classroom: Inspiring Kinders Through STEM

My Students

I teach 22 enthusiastic, inquisitive, unique kindergarteners. Some are already reading, some are starting to learn their letter names and sounds, while others are just learning how to hold scissors and writing utensils.

Although they are all at different levels developmentally, they are all eager to learn and are so much more engaged when we can utilize hands-on learning materials.

Our school includes 4 kindergarten classes that will be able to share these materials. We all appreciate your generosity! Thank you!

My Project

I want to inspire my kindergartners through more STEM projects in the classroom. Through the use of these Discovery Toys Marbleworks Marble Runs, I can help foster their creativity, logical reasoning, spatial thinking skills, and the process of experimentation. With five sets available to share with the four kindergarten classes in my school, students will be able to work in small groups to design amazing marble runs.

I can already imagine their excitement when they get to experiment with these marble runs!

They will get to explore positional concepts, develop hand-eye coordination and visual tracking, make predictions, and learn about the law of gravity and how to alter speed and movement. The benefits are endless!
