My students need maps, globes, and atlases for the projects we are going to be doing in American history and geography.
This project expired on December 11, 2016.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach fifth grade at a state funded college preparatory charter school. We are opening a brand new campus, and we have limited funding. The students come from a variety of backgrounds and socio-economic groups, but one thing they all have in common is their excitement for this new school of choice.
The students come here eager to learn.
They are bright and enthusiastic. I can't wait to see their smiling faces each morning.
This is going to be a fun and exciting year!
My students are going to be doing a lot of hands on learning with maps this year.
We're going to make a giant map of the United States for our classroom.
Students will work in pairs to research their a state, then create a map of that state to add to our giant map. Since the map we are making will take up an entire wall, the pull-down map and atlas I am requesting will be helpful. It is also good that it can be rolled up when not in use to save space.
The large inflatable globe will be fun to use and will act as a model for globes the students will be making.
