Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students love to use their hands to discover and play. Having manipulates will give students that discovery time as they need to take a break from paper/pencil drills. Manipulatives are learning tools that infuse play. With tubs of tiles, students will use tweezers and tongs to extract letters and place them on trays and mats to build words. Using tweezers & tongs will support fine motor skills that will help with handwriting. With alphabetic tiles, students can study and learn how to build words and then expand to sentences. Having a variety of ways to capture the interest of a child is always a challenge. Manipulatives make learning FUN!
