Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into my classroom excited and ready to learn. Our classroom consist of 20 General Ed. / Spec. Ed Pre-K students that range from the age of 3-5 years old.
Our Pre-Kindergarten children participate in a variety of educational activities during the school day, which runs from 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
I work with preschool-age children with a variety of disabilities. I help children reach their learning potential and modify the curriculum to meet the needs of each individual child.
As a teacher that serves in a low income/high poverty school district of Pre-K students ranging from 3-5 years old, we try our best to prepare these children for future success in school, work, and life. I am looking to provided my students with a creative/fun learning experience.
My Project
I try to make my classroom a fun learning experience for all. I differentiate for a variety of ages from 3 to 5-years-old children. My students need math and literacy manipulatives. Having the proper resources to work with all different learning needs within my classroom will allow the students with a fun hands-on learning experience. Students will utilize these materials during whole group and small group instruction to learn new skills being taught. These items work well to solve problems, as a way to introduce new math and literacy skills. Most of all it makes learning fun and more enjoyable for all learners.
