My students need a variety of manipulatives, including Pop and Match Beginning Phonics Games Set, Following Directions Building set and Ten-Frames Activity Dice, so that they can internalize foundational concepts.
Every day my students enter the classroom with a smiling face and excitement that is contagious.They are eager to face the obstacles that life brings on and work hard to persevere through abstract tasks. My students are always up for a new challenge and continue to astound me with their creativity and knowledge.

My Project
My students need a variety of manipulatives, including Pop and Match Beginning Phonics Games Set, Following Directions Building set and Ten-Frames Activity Dice, so that they can internalize foundational concepts. With a multitude of manipulatives, my students will better able internalize core concepts. Students, particularly young ones, need to be able to move items with their hands to physically see what is happening with both words and numbers. This will help my students internalize concepts that they will need to master Kindergarten.
We will use these manipulatives in small groups, centers and whole class learning.
I have chosen a wide variety of manipulatives because research shows that not all students learn the same way and at the same rate. Having a variety of learning tools will enhance my students' learning.
My students will use these manipulatives to find ways to make 10, aid in completing simple addition and subtraction problems to five, and make rhyming words. These tools will provide them with an alternative way to apply key concepts.
