Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Just yesterday a student rumaged my roller cabinet and withdrew 10 of these little manipulative figures from my personal supply. I have long used them for "draw to grid" illustration assignments, still life arrangements, stop motion video assignments, and as quick examples of anatomy of animals and insects.

I told her to share with her little sister as she walked out of the classroom, and she said that she won't see her sister for another month cause she went back to Texas.

THe students slowly chew and pocket these generic toys and we need a yearly recharge of the happy pile of colors and bendable shapes. Students use them as stress releiving fidgets during class, and also yearn to take the home to stabilize "pad out" their imaginative play toy chest.

I promise to use them in the classroom to present a variety of video, composition, illustration, and now with 3d pens: they can function as a starter skeletons for accessorizing assignments: skeletons that the students will individually flesh out. That way students take home their own creations rather than just settle for aquisition fodder to counterblance their families economic struggles to provide abundance to the creative play in their children's growth into adulthood.
