My students need essential math manipulatives to help build their math fluency. Buying these sets in full, with a magnetic white board and storage, will help keep these items organized and well-kept!

My Students

I am a 3rd grade teacher of math and science in a small community near Orange, Texas. Our community was devastated by the impact of Hurricane Harvey. Our home school is currently down to the studs, and we have portable buildings in place for our students to move into at any time. Most of our students have been relocated and housed due to extensive flooding in their homes. Most are living with relatives, friends, or in small campers in their yards while the clean up and rehabilitation happens.

We have returned to our home campus, which has been converted to a portable building campus.

We are trying to rebuild our supplies to make this transition easier for our students. Our students have fought hard to overcome the tragedies they have faced this year, all while doing so with a smile. They have come out on the other side braver and stronger!

My Project

After Hurricane Harvey, my classroom manipulatives to teach essential 3rd grade skills were destroyed. I have been trying to build back my manipulative library, but this has been put on the back burner, as I am trying to collect essential classroom supplies first. We have been using homemade manipulatives to teach our concepts, but concrete models and reusable materials would be essential to my classroom and my students learning. I have requested a magnetic board and cart to store all of my manipulatives in for easy access, the complete manipulatives library for elementary grades, discovery math cans for my math centers and for student-centered learning, as well as magnetic math manipulatives for myself to use during my whole group lessons. I teach learners of all styles, including those who prefer to learn with hands-on materials. Please help me to rebuild my classroom manipulatives library! My students will appreciate your support for years to come!
