This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Transitional Kindergarten (TK) experience is filled with many opportunities that promote independence and cooperation. I am requesting a Light Center and manipulatives needed to explore the properties of color and light that through play will build Math, Language, and Science skills.

Students can use this Light Center to practice counting, letters, and color combinations through cooperative play easily accessible by my 4- and 5-year olds.

Students will be able to use new vocabulary appropriate to their interactive experiences making the learning more fun and engaging. This experience will help build reading, pre-writing, language, and math skills.
