My Project
Everyone enjoys being independent. Especially children who want to feel that they are getting bigger and can do what grown-ups can do. My young students sometimes need help with basic skills such as snaps, buttons, zippers, shoe tying, etc., and need to ask adults for help.
With the proper materials and practice my students can learn and master these manipulation skills to increase their independence.
With a zipper board, they can learn to open and close their backpack and coat independently. With shoe laces, they can master the ability to put their shoes on and off independently. With these tools, we can give them the chance to increase their independence in these life skills. Help my students feel like the big kids that they want to be!
