Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom involves a lot of movement, collaboration among students, and a comfortable learning environment. The students in my room from our school are eager, full of vigor, and very active.
My population is a mix of multi-level English Language Learners and English Only students.
We are a Title I school with a lot of school pride. Both our staff and our student body are proud of our school, our accomplishments, and the direction we are heading as 21st century learners.
My Project
These books will allow the students of our room the chance to read together as a class from the comfort of their own homes while being in our virtual classroom. Even though we are online learning, I would love for the students to have their own books in their hands as we read a book that deals with subject matter of our current world climate.
With these new books, my students will have a sense of connectedness with their classmates and teacher as we work our way through the novel together.
