My Project
Mango sticky rice is something the Thai restaurants around town serve for dessert. The mangoes here in Hawaii are so delicious, and we want to be able to sample this delicacy for Fun Food Friday. The rice, coconut milk and sweet palm sugar are going to be cooked together in the Instant Pot to make a sweet, sticky rice that is going to be so delicious. The black rice can also be added or the butterfly pea tea to make the rice purple.
Trying new foods from other countries is one of the lessons I want my students to be able to experience in our class on Fun Food Fridays.
We do not have a big Thai population here, but there are lots of Thai restaurants and it is a favorite of lots of my students. Learning these lessons, that are outside of the box, gives us fun things to take home to our families to share. Fun and delicious things to share!
