My Students
After a year apart, our students are [mostly] glad to be back in the building, engaging with each other and their teachers. They are voracious readers, especially of manga and other graphic novels, which just aren't as fun to read online.
My Project
These middle schoolers are OBSESSED WITH MANGA. We can't keep our copies on the shelf! I would like to re-stock our manga shelves with a wide variety of titles that will appeal to a greater range of students.
In my few weeks as a middle school librarian, I have learned that manga is what draws students to the library.
During every orientation I ran, students literally raced to the manga shelf. We had a full bookshelf and now it's pretty stark.
Help us replenish the manga shelf! We're having a manga emergency!
