My Students
The students, that I have the privilege of teaching, are everything that is great about my school! They are eager to learn, kind, and concerned about the world around them. They wonder, ask questions, and look for ways to make the world a better place!
My students are very inquisitive learners who yearn to be challenged at all times. They are always excited to come to art learn about different artists and experience new and exciting materials. They look forward to coming to art each week, and I look forward to seeing each and every one of them. I teach in an urban school that is truly a gem. It is a unicorn in the city.
My Project
I try to create extraordinary experiences and magical moments for my students where they immerse themselves in the world of art and they see themselves as the creators they long to be. I believe that good quality supplies are a key component of the experience. Good oil pastels and quality construction paper can take a project from "eh" to incredible! I would love for my students to have quality oil pastels, liquid watercolors, sharpie markers, those awesome metallic markers, and construction paper with paper storage for the tabletop available to them to create art that is beyond their wildest dreams.
When the students experience art with quality products, they begin to see themselves as true creators and artists.
Quality art supplies are often beyond our budget but can make a world of difference in the experience.
